Great Team Effort

Gisborne walkers Jim Trowell and Kevin Tait scored a notable first for Gisborne when, as a team, they took first and third places in the 50K Road Walk at the 1973 New Zealand Athletic Championships at Inglewood. This is the first time a Gisborne team has achieved this feat. This is the third national title to be won by Jim Trowell and it is the second time Kevin Tait has been placed at the nationals.
