Fellowship Birthday

The St John's Family Fellowship celebrated its 20th birthday with an evening gathering in the church hall on April 12. Formerly the Mothers' Union, the group was started in April 1953 and quite a number of original members were present at the party.

Five of the first committee were present and they are pictured at the cutting of the cake. From left, Mesdames Phyl Niven (present secretary also), Joyce Moles (vice-president), Margaret Crawforth (president), Muriel Mitchell (secretary/treasurer), and Edith Goodwin.

Among those present were Mesdames M. Lawton, J. Fraser, B. Metcalf and K. Barrow.

Mesdames A. Hardy, J. Menzies and O. Whitworth.

The Rev. Dan Jensen and his wife Robyn were also present.
