Mr Ken O'Connell, a long serving member of the Cook Hospital staff, is shown with his menu kept from the day of the Cook Hospital Board's Coronation Day Dinner of 1952! The special thing about this souvenir is that it now has the signature of five Governors-General on it. Mr O'Connell has the autographs of Governors-General Norrie, Cobham, Fergusson, Porritt and, with the recent Vice-Regal visit, that of Sir Denis Blundell.

Off to England for a working holiday is Jenny Thomson, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. G. Thomson, Fitzherbert Street. Jenny, who has been teaching at Tolaga Bay, flew out from Auckland on March 10 and expects to be away about a year.
