Archers Honoured

A cocktail party was held by the Gisborne Archery Club, at which two plaques were unveiled by Mayor Harry Barker.

In the range area of the Archery Hall the range was named after Mr Jim Burton, the club stalwart who was instrumental in getting the building project off the ground. From left, are Mayor Harry Barker, Jim Burton, Mrs Burton and club president Ray Mulrooney.

The second plaque unveiled is in recognition of all who helped with the establishment of the building, and of the building committee which was, from left, Mr Jim Burton, Mrs Jess Wallace, Messrs Nigel Nicholson, Ray Eraser, Clarrie Latta, and the late Mick Rowan
