Are You Going To Poison Your Child?

If not then keep the stuff locked up!

Eighty percent of the 2,000-plus people treated in hospital for poisoning (In New Zealand), each year, Are Under Five Years Of Age! Children are not old enough to reason. Colourful pills look like lollies. Lollies are for eating. Pretty liquids are for drinking - poisonous or not! By keeping these poisons and harmful products locked away, the risk of tragedy is minimised. How about these for starters? Medicines, tablets, pain killers, methylated spirits, disinfectants, bleaches, tanning lotions, hair preparations, skin tonics, metal cleaners, turpentine, kerosine, furniture polishes, petrol, oil, Insect And Weed Killers, the list is long. Just remember, a child Doesn'T Know. He/ she is naturally curious, and innocent. Any accident (?) and the blame belongs to the parents. Do you know your doctor's telephone number off by heart, or have it written down, in a prominent place, just in case?
