Members of the Post Office engineering and associated staffs gathered recently to farewell Mr R. W. Nicol who has been transferred as District Engineer to Auckland. Presentations were made at the Post Office Workshops. At the function were, from left, Messrs K. H. Light (senior supervisor, district engineer's office), E. W. Fox (chief technician), R. W. Traffic Instructor L. N. Hutchison and Mrs Hutchison have taken up a transfer to Christchurch. Mr Hutchison has served in Gisborne for the past 14 years and has become particularly well known for his work with school children.
