Big Project

A lot of hard work on a voluntary basis was done by the people of Patutahi to establish a hall at the school. The old school was divided into two sections, one half being used for the hall and the other for a play-centre.

A vigorous committee spared no effort to establish the hall which was officially opened on August 21.

Three of the men on the committee who did sterling work on the project were Paru Kaa (chairman school committee), John Lister (foreman of works) and Jack Wilson (finance chairman).
