Gillian Skyrme, 16, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. P. Skyrme, brought distinction to the Girls' High School by gaining the highest marks in New Zealand for the 1967 School Certificate Examination. Gillian gained a total of 375 marks out of a possible 400 with 97 for maths, 95 for French, 93 for history and 90 for English.

An American Field Scholar attending Lytton High School for this year is Jerry Beltz, who is staying with the Russell family, Mill Road. Jerry, who comes from Watertown, Wisconsin, and is in 6B, is pictured with John Russell (right), who is in 6A.
