A former Methodist missionary in the Soloman Islands, Winifred Beatrice Poole, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. T. Poole, Sievwright Lane, was married at the Methodist Church recently to Roland Venis, son of Mrs Venis and the late Mr J. Venis, Middlesborough, Yorkshire, England. Members of the Girls' Life. Brigade formed a guard of honour at the church door. The attendants were Miss Joan Robb and Mr D. Simpson
