Photographs taken at the music seminar held in the Intermediate School during the school holidays. Conducting is Mr Len Schwabe, who has been largely responsible for the development in New Zealand of the siminar method of musical instruction, which has now been adopted in Wellington and other centres. Over 80 students from Gisborne and other parts of the North Island attended the seminar. Unfortunately for local students Mr Schwabe is scheduled to leave Gisborne shortly to join the staff of Rongotai College in Wellington.
