Introducing

....Joy Hathaway, Susan Harper, and Marilyn George, staff of the Tropicana Florist and Nursery Shop, all share a common interest in gardening and visiting the beach in summer. Joy is married, and is at present busily engaged in moving house from Tamarau to upper Ballance Street. Susan lives at 27 Iranui Road, was educated at the Girls' High, and enjoys music and working at handicrafts. Marilyn also enjoys handicrafts, was educated at Lytton High, and lives at 228 Stout Street.

....Peter Frazer, who is a permanent driver with the St. John Ambulance Association. A certified mechanic, he lives at 715 Childers Road, is a former soccer player, follows most sports, and collects modern coins.

....John Braybrook and David Nunn are trainee architectural draftsmen with Glengarry, Corson, and Pilbrow. John, who has been with the firm for two years, lives at 124 Disraeli Street, and spends his leisure hours deerstalking, shooting, swimming, and listening to pop music. David is married, lives at 29 Roebuck Road, and follows soccer and rowing. Both were educated at Boys' High.

....Mavis and Ed Lenihan, 31 Kowhai Street, run a men's hairdressing business in the T and G building. Mavis helps out in the shop part time, and is also a cook in the hospital kitchen. Both are members of the Kennel Club, and enjoy opera, having a large collection of records Their other interests include rugby, wrestling, boxing, and Ed is a former hockey player.
