N.Z. Finn Class Champs

The 7th N.Z. Finn Class Championships, organised by the Gisborne Finn Association and attracting 45 entries, commenced on February 13.

Receiving the Rothmans Silver Helm, the wininer will also represent New Zealand in this year's World Cup series.

The mast at 24 feet, the yacht length at 14 feet 9ins, a total weight of 319lbs and a sail area of 108 feet - these are the weights and measurements which are strictly observed.

P. B. Nelson in Fram, Les Castles in Finntastic and Ray Wenham in Luffin set out for the start of the third race.
