Wheelbarrow Derby

With the aim of raising funds for the full development of Churchill Park, the Lions Club started off by organising a wheelbarrow derby followed by a hangi.

Watched by 1,000 people, various sports bodies competed in the race.

The hangi netted £150 and will be used to build a paddling pool in the park.
