Gisborne student, who were capped at recent 'varsity ceremonies included: Left, Mr Wilks B. Sc., son of Mr and Mrs Stanley E. Wilks, 157 Stout Street, and a former dux of the Gisborne High School. His degree was taken at Victoria University College. Mr Wilks will be taking honours this year, in preparation for a career in industrial chemistry.
Mayfair
Miss Margaret Roberts, B. H. Sc., daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Roberts, 307 Stout Street. A former G. H. S. Pupil, Miss Roberts took her home science course at Otago University and this year will be taking a post-graduate course in Auckland.
Mr Des. Robinson, B.A., son of Mrs and the late Mr Robinson, 464 Gladstone Road, a G.H.S. old boy, who took his arts degree at Victoria University College, and vho is starting a teaching career in Wellington.
Miss Diedre Bodle, Wainui Beach, who has returned from Wanganui, where she completed her training in Karitane nursing.
Miss Dawn Smyth, daughter of Mrs M. Smyth, Awapuni Road, who sailed for England and the Continent early last month. A teacher at Awapuni School, Miss Smyth hopes to return through Canada and the U.S. She will probably be away about two years.
