The Dinner

At the official dinner five brigadesmen were presented with long service medals or bars. Among them was the chief fire officer, Mr Hec Oliver (right) receiving his gold bar from the board chairman, Mr Harry Chisnall, for 39 years' service.

The only three present who joined the brigade between 1900 and 1930, Eric Nisbet (1924), Ashley Jefferies (1912) and Harry Nisbet (1908).
