Our Cover

The three lovely lassies depicted on our cover this month are Elisabeth Fiolet, of Holland, Angela Hughes aged 9, of Nelson, and Josie Gardner, also of Nelson! This picture was taken during the visit two months ago of the international skating team, of which Elisabeth was a member. We had some trouble coaxing a smile out of Angela. After the picture was taken we learned that she had broken an arm. She left the skating rink for the hospital.

This yacht, the beautiful Fitheach Ban, owned and skippered by Albie Tregidga, is well-known in Nelson waters and should be better-known overseas after Captain Tregidga and family finish the world tour they are at present undertaking in the yacht. This picture was taken from Ian Sharland's launch as the Fitheach Ban sailed out of Nelson to take part in the trans-Tasman yacht race.
