Richmond Rotary's latest project is the building of a community bus shelter at the car park in the heart of the Richmond shopping area. Hard at work we found Gordon Duncan, Deny Marshall, Merv Saunders, Alan Duncan, Moel Robertson, George Grigg, Sandy Sauer, Peter Milne, Snow Corboy.

Mr Ray Marshall, Stoke organiser, hands over to CORSO organiser, Frank Baldwin, £838 collected in the Stoke area Freedom from Hunger campaign last month. The Nelson-Stoke total was £3o46.

Seepage during the heavy rain earlier this month created problems for men laying telephone cable ducts in Beatson's Road, Wakatu, but the work is progressing well. This is the first stage in the step to increase the capacity of the Stoke exchange and ultimately to give Richmond and Nelson subscribers free calls between the two places.
