Nelson could rightly have laid claim to another M. B. E. in the last honours list - W/O 1 Jack Flowerday, of Waiouru Military Camp. Jack was a member of the Nelson-Marlborough-West Coast Regiment when mobilised in 1941, and he will probably be remembered by many of his old comrades in arms of that time.
