Repertory's One-Act Evening

The Nelson Repertory Society staged two one-act plays recently. Both of them were produced at short notice but the performances of both casts gave little hint of this. The first on this page was "Tension", a drama, and the second, the delightful comedy, "Poor Mr Shakespeare".

REPRINTS

"Poor Mr Shakespeare" was a play within the rehearsals of a play and a delightful bit of nonsense it was. The cast was Puck (Rewa Walsh), Fairy (Heather Wiren), Bottom (Val Robbie), Oberon (Rita Freestone), Mrs Midg-ley (Jean Ryder), Moth (Kathleen Ballingall), Chorus (Alice Carter), Producer (Beth Stewart), Mustard Seed (June McMahon).
