Quiz Show Aids Plunket Funds

Through the good offices of Colgate Palmolive and John Maybury, the Stoke Plunket Society's building fund benefitted by £65 as the result of the quiz show "The Big Deal" held in the Stoke Hall. All four finalists in the show also made on the big deal, but Jack Catterall did best of all. As well as winning a motor mower, Jack scored 75 points in the New Zealand-wide contest for the new Vauxhall Viva car - an outstanding performance. He could yet win this wonderful prize.
