The Scots Have A Ball
Sprigs of heather, clan tartans, kilts and sporrans, haggis and whisky (one bottle which went with the haggis, whether empty or full we never found out). These, with a hall-full of happy people, were the ingredients which combined to make the annual ball of the City of Nelson Highland Pipe Band one of the most successful on record.

Well-known Scots, Mrs and Mr Jim Patterson (Jim was Pipe Major for 24 years), and Mr and Mrs Jim Moulder.
A happy group: Mrs and Mr Bruce McGlachen, and Mrs and Mr Rod Fry
An impressive line-up of pipers
Former band members, Gavin Craw and Brian Waugh came back to Nelson for the ball, Gavin bringing Loraine Armon, Christchurch Ladies H. P. B. with him.
