Big Crowd at Marching Championships

An estimated 4000 persons filled the stand at Trafalgar Park and overflowed into the open for the Nelson Marching Centre's championships. Teams from as far away as Auckland took part. Most successful was Redwings, of Nelson. Fresh from triumphs at Wellington, Redwings won the senior title and six other awards.
