End-Of-Season Presentations
Championship winners in Nelson Bowling Centre competitions were presented with trophies at the closing of the season function at the Wakefield Bowling Club. Also presented were Gold Star awards to Jock Grieve, Johnny Maclean, Bob Wadsworth and Mick Kinzett.
Junior pairs champions Max Wilkes and Ray Jellyman
Gordon Little and Jock Grieve, Takaka, won the champion of champion pairs
Champion of champion singles winner Bob Wadsworth, Stoke
Buster Walsh, Maitai, won the open singles and was two in a team skipped by Leon Gargiulo and fed by Dick Ward which claimed the open triples
Gold Star award winners were Jock Grieve (Takaka), Johnny Maclean (Maitai), Bob Wadsworth (Stoke) and Mick Kinzett (Mapua)
