The St John Ambulance Association in Nelson had its new four-wheel drive search and rescue ambulance dedicated by the Bishop of Nelson, the Rt Rev. P. E. Sutton, recently. The photograph, taken by Michael Rodwell during the dedication ceremony, shows Bishop Sutton, the sub-district supervisor of St John, Mr M. L. Gibbs, the president of the Nelson centre, Dr D. C. Low, the convener of the vehicle's fund raising committee, Mr R. Hargreaves and the secretary of the Nelson Hospital Board, Mr R. I. Blair.

A well known Nelson couple, Mr and Mrs Russell Jackson have shifted to Auckland. Mr Jackson has been promoted to factory manager of Griffin's Auckland branch. Mr and Mrs Jackson were members of the Nelson Photographic Society and their departure left vacancies on the committee.

What child wouldn't love to own this model of a 1903 Oldsmobile which was on display at Richmond Park during the vintage car rally? Proud driver while the photo was taken is Paul Newman, 3, of Blenheim. The car was being raffled.
