Smashing End To Season
At the beginning of the stock car season the Tasman Club promised an exciting series of meetings. They kept their word. Each event was well patronised and the drivers turned on the works. The final meeting of the season, at which several top Wellington drivers, including champion Ian Taylor competed, was no exception. There were prangs, rolls and exciting races.
Amidst a shower of dirt Peter Brown's Jaguar crashes over, in the first of two spectacular rolls during the meeting. This was in the teams race
Whoomph! Rick Rawson's Oldsmobile gets it in a place starting with "g." It must have hurt, for a wheel came off No. 13. Greenem's Zephyr V-6 fared a bit better but stayed in this position until the end of the race
