Competitors and officers of the Nelson Golf Club photographed in front of what was the original clubhouse on the present links. The time was about 1923-4, a few years after the club had moved from its first site in Murital Street to its present course.

A very early photograph of Takaka and a Takaka Church. In the limited time we had we endeavoured to obtain an identification of the church but without success. Nor were we able to get a fix on the church's original site.

From Mrs Una Austerberry, of Reservoir, Victoria, we received this photograph of Coney Park, Nelson. Mrs Austerberg took this picture with her when she went to live in Australia 45 years ago, but her memories of Coney Park were revived when she saw a similar picture we published in the July issue of the magazine. The fireman in the foreground is Captain Cam Stewart, and Mrs Austerberry and her sister are also in the picture (but we're not sure where). Glad to hear you enjoy your "Photo News", Mrs Austerberry, even after 45 years' absence from Nelson.
