A Musical Centenary

The Takaka Citizens' Band celebrated its centenary recently. The celebrations coincided with the opening of its new bandrooms.
The band, led by Kerry Page carrying the centennial sign, and Drum-Majors P. R. Reilly (left) and K. Delaney (right) march to the new rooms.
Former bandsmen from many parts of New Zealand attended the celebrations.

Mr H. L. Riley, chairman of the Golden Bay County Council, opened the building. The band president, Mr C. P. Reilly, and Mrs Reilly, are at right.
