Waimea Ladies' Title
Back-room workers, Bryce Tebay. and Bebe Rowe, bring the scoreboard up to scratch.
Charlotte Douglas, of Totaradale, recaptured the Waimea ladies' golf title at the championships at Green-acres Golf Club. Three strokes behind her was May Rowling (Motueka). The champion and runner-up are pictured at top left and left respectively. Mrs Rowlings took the honours two weeks later at the annual grandmothers' tournament.
The last hole played and now time to check those score cards. Making certain are Jennifer Wills and Sally Coleman (both Motueka) and June Taylor (Golden Downs).
Esme Morgan (Totaradale) studies her chip to the green, as does Phil McCullough (Motueka).
Girl with a future is Dianne Low, a 17-year-old who has been playing only two years. She was third, one stroke behind Mrs Rowland. She's already on a 12 handicap.
