Fliers Receive Wings

(Photos: John R. Sharp)

Eight members of the Motueka Aero Club who received their private pilot's licences since the reforming of the club in 1963 were presented with their "wings" during the first annual "wings" dinner of the club in Motueka.

The eight, at back, Robert Trewavas, Bill Rogers, Ken Hall and Colin Gardiner. Front: Bob Furness, Derek Smith, Alan Moss and Dick Davy.

×

Enjoying the dinner: Mr and Mrs Derek Smith and Mrs Rae Watson.

×

Also having a thoroughly good time were Mesdames Marjorie Parker, Shirley Holliday and Miss Heather Benge.

×

The smiling faces are those of Mesdames Pat Rogers, Hall and Judy Fry.

×

Looks to us as if patron Len Parker is spinning a yarn which president Ken Hall and chief flying instructor David Holliday find a little hard to believe.

Colin Gardiner and Max Watson swap experiences.
