Athletic Meeting

The annual January invitation meeting of the Gisborne Amateur Athletic and Harrier Club drew a good representation from Hamilton and Napier, and some keen competition was evident. Most notable achievement was that visiting high jumper Gay Ellice from Hamilton achieved her best jump ever at the meeting, clearing 5ft 3in, which places her second to her Waikato team-mate, Pam Burnett, on the national rating list for the season.
