Air-borne Beauties

Earlier this month an N.A.C. plane flew into Gisborne, and what a cargo it carried! When the doors opened, there was Miss New Zealand (Susan Kellaway of Christchurch) and all the other district beauties from points south. First off was Miss Gisborne (Joan Presland), seen here at foot of gangway with Miss New Zealand. We hustled Joan away smartly for a colour picture, the result of which will be seen on next month's cover.
