Some Came Running...

It is a sore temptation for Gisborne children whenever they attend a public function where things are happening.

The rules require them to stand back and let everybody have a good view.

But their inbuilt curiosity constantly impels them to edge forward. They love nothing better than to be right up alongside whatever is happening.

At the recent Civic Services Review in Childers Road Reserve, there were so many good things to see that every now and again the children found it was just impossible to keep behind those restraining ropes.

Pictures on this page show what happened when St. John Ambulance people were demonstrating an "accident " where a boy on a bike collided with an opened car door.
