Jennifer Shops For Her Prizes...
Well, the judges certainly picked a charming lass when they picked Miss Jennifer Stevens as winner of our Ballroom Girl Competition. That warm smile which won their hearts and decided the contest in her favour greeted us on first acquaintance and stayed with us throughout the morning we spent with her going from shop to shop.
Upstairs at Charlie Adair's, Jennifer selects a beautiful Jantzen swim suit.
At Harris Bros. Shoe Store, a pair of "Footrest" Shoes.
At Geddes & Murray Ltd., Jewellers, a Necklace & Earring Set.
At Kandid Kamera Kraft, A Kodak Brownie Gift Set
At Lillies Ltd., Jennifer fell in love with every skirt she was shown.
And at Rainbow Fashions, the choice of a cardigan was quite an important affair.

To conclude this competition, we would like once again to express our appreciation of the generosity of the firms who donated prizes. These include (not illustrated) Messrs Columbine Hosiery Ltd., who presented the winner with half a dozen pairs of Columbine Fabulized Hosiery.
Jennifer selects a beautiful Nylon Nightdress at Phyllis Lee Lingerie Salon.
"Revlon" Beauty Aids from Adair's to make her even lovelier.
At Pennie Hills' she chooses her Tailored Dress Blouse.
At Gisborne Leatheries she inspects the wide variety Handbags and "Tote" Bags.
For her final prize, Jennifer books in at Billies Beauty Salon for a Cold Wave & Hair Set.
In addition, of course, Jennifer received a cheque for £20 from the proprietors of "Photo News", and a presentation Ballerina Evening Gown from the proprietors of "Seventeen" in which she is seen at right, and also in colour on our cover.
