Fashion Show Applauded

"Photo News" took the bull by the horns one night last month and ventured in where strong men fear to tread. In other words, he was one man among nearly a thousand women. They were assembled in the War Memorial Hall to see the Tarn Cochrane Fashion Show, which brought the latest in the new autumn fashions to Gisborne.

Professionally presented by Tam Cochrane herself, the show featured garments available in Gisborne shops. The models, from left to right in the picture above, were Mrs Meg Stafford, Yvonne Hindley, Shirley Gissing, Denise Nicholas, and Frances Slater. At the microphone is Tam Cochrane.
