A perspective drawing of the proposed new home which the Church of Eagland plans to erect for elderly people on a site in Aberdeen Road opposite the Cook Street intersection. The site has already been purchased, and the plans drawn by the architect, Mr C. A. Pilbrow, who has adapted a traditional Maori entrance design to the buildings' porches. The site and buildings are being financed from the J. N. Williams Memorial Trust. An appeal is being made to Church of England members for £7500 to lay out the grounds, and to furnish and conduct the home.
