GISBORNE WAIROA
SCOUT JAMBOREE

A contingent of 135 girls & boys attended the 10 day 16th Asia Pacific / 14th N Z Scout Jamboree on Kepler Farm, 15km south of Te Anau. Scouts came from Australia, Japan, Western Samoa, U S A, Korea, Tonga, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Solomon Islands, U K, Cook Islands, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Papua New Guinea, Canada, the Phillipines, Indonesia & Malaysia.

Joseph Chandler (left), Richard Coffy,Ian McGrory & Edward White infront of the distinctive Gisborne/ Wairoa Gate. The fibreglass pole and spars were donated by Pultron Industries, the sails were made by East Manufacturing and were painted by Escape Screenprinters.
