TURANGANUI MAORI WOMEN'S WELFARE LEAGUE
The Turanganui Branch of the Maori Women's Welfare League held a Garden Party (with a fancy hat theme) in the grounds of Lady Lorna and Sir Henare Ngata's residence. At this "End of Year" function awards were presented for service to the League and for the most "appealing hat." Additional entertainment was provided by the Head to Toe Fashion Models.
