GRAND FINAL

The Rugby League Grand Final was something special with all the ingredients of a televised drama. Chagan Fishing Uawa had the best of the 1st half going to the break with an 18-4 lead. Kaiti were 1st to score in the 2nd half. Then Thomas Miki finished off a Uawa attack. Sustained pressure by Kaiti scoring 3 tries leveled the scores to 22 all at full time. Kaiti scored the 1st try (converted) in extra time Uawa bounced back with an unconverted try. It was down to the wire again until Kaiti scored then converted 3 mins from time. Uawa were still very dangerous. It was nail biting, entertaining stuff with victory going to the BP Kaiti Knights.
