RAYONIER N. Z. EAST COAST OFFICE OFFICIAL OPENING

The official opening of Rayonier New Zealand's new East Coast offices was held in August. The forestry oriented company has made a long term investment in the what they describe as the "difficult and challenging conditions" of this district. The East Coast operation is one of Rayonier N Z's most valuable resources. It is hoped that the volume of cut timber will double over the next 5 years. The professional approach to landlording is imperative with reinvesting in roads, bridges and replanting an ongoing business. Genetic quality is constantly improving and todays planted seedlings will be harvested in 28 years.
