EXERCISE

There is nothing more awesome or unpredictable than the furies produced by Mother Nature. The role of Civil Defence is to activate instantly as required. Emergency Welfare Course 201 was held in July to provide a welfare response at centre level. This involved flooding and the evacuation of a cross section of people being processed at a welfare centre situated in the Lawson Field Theatre. This type of exercise is vital to Civil Defence as it provides a chance for personnel to discuss their options in an emergency.
