ELGIN SCHOOL

The Alan Duff Foundation, "Books In Homes" project, aiming to encourage children to have books in their homes. Elgin School is one of 80 primary and intermediate schools N Z wide participating. Over the next 3 years approx 240,000 books will be given to children. All Black, Zinzan Brooke, one of many high profile sport and TV personalities visiting schools to kick off the project, recognised the benefits of reading as many books as possible, "one book per week enhances scope later on in life" Hansells N Z Ltd Specialists in Fine Foods have joined the project as corporate sponsors donating $7,000 supporting Elgin School.

The colourful Elgin School patter - ball wall that says it all -Elgin School, sponsored by Hansells - Books in Homes. Each child in the school will receive 4 books, of their choice, per year, for three years.
