Whitson ~ Johnstone FAMILY REUNION 1995
The 2 Scottish families that ran NZ's 1st legal brewery (Auck 1860) were linked by the marriage of George Johnstone & Elizabeth Whitson who were neigbours in Princes St Auck. The Johnstone house is the Home of the Auck Civic Trust. They established the Whitson Brewery in Lowe St Gisborne which was sold to William Crawford.
