James Andrew Gatenby, son of Egypt Gatenby (Waihi) and the late Bill Gatenby, graduated in Bachelor Social Welfare at Massey University. James is now doing Social Policy for Childrens Young Persons Sevice Hamilton.

Michael Owen, ex Gisborne Boys High, currently employed as Executive Officer for the Poverty Bay Tennis Association, graduated from Massey University with a B.A. (Social Science) majoring in Psychology. Michael a qualified associate tennis coach with future plans to travel around Europe and to coach and play tennis in Germany.

Glennis Hall, daughter of Val & Alvin Hall, graduated from the University of Waikato with a Master of Science (Honours - Earth Sciences) Glennis, a past pupil of Gisborne Girls' High, is now working at the Environment Waikato Regional Council in Hamilton.

Louise Owen, daughter of Gaye & Hilary Owen, graduated from Waikato University with a Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree. Louise was educated at TeHapara, Gisborne Intermediate & Gisborne Girls' High School.

Nicole Stirton, daughter of Beryl & Sandy Stirton, graduated with a Masters in Business Studies with 1st Class Honours in Human Resource Management at Massey University. Prior to that Nicole was awarded Bachelor of Commerce & Bachelor of Arts Degrees at Auckland University. A former pupil of Kaiti, Ilminster & Gisborne Girls High School Nicole is currently lecturing Training & Development in the Human Resource Management Department at Massey University.
