POVERTY BAY U/19 LADIES SOCCER REPRESENTATIVES
A galant effort by a Poverty Bay Team took on the best of Central Region in a 2 day Tournament in Gisborne playing teams from Auck, Manawatu & Wgtn. They played against many who normally are in Central League teams. Pov Bay had only been together for 3 weeks coached by Ex All White Richard Mulligan.
Amanda Feast shoots. She scored 3 goals in a 10min shooting spree.
Dana Evans clears as two sharp shooters move in on the thru ball.
Dana Evans, Trish Cross & Renae Mulligan were determined defenders despite the pressure exerted by the more experienced Central League players who spearheaded the Manawatu attack.
Renae Mulligan with her trophy for the Most Promising of the Tournament with Amanda Feast. Both were selected for the U/19 Central Region Representative Squad who will play the NZ U/17 Rep Team in July at Palmerston North.
