SWIMMERS

A week long camp for Hawkes Bay / Poverty Bay Developing Swimmers was held in Gisborne. 32 elite swimmers working together, training with people of similar ability. Top NZ rated coaches kept the pressure on ensuring they trained properly following a challenging balanced programme.

Roger Scott Manager of the Enterprise Swim Centre, Hilton Brown Ex NZ Head Swim Coach for 1990 Commonwealth Games held in Auckland & Gary Martin currently the NZ Developing Swimmers Coach watched the 32 swimmers for the week long camp.

On holidays from her Louisiana State University studies Julie McLaughlin added her international pace to the elite swimmers at this training camp.
