With a wind chill factor of minus 14C the final games of the NZ Primary School Hockey tournament were abandoned. Top seeds Poverty Bay played some impressive hockey and were applauded in their last game. Three of the team were named in the Tournament team (L to R): Tania McNamara, Roschelle Koia and Chantelle Ribbon. The other two Amy McGrannachan and Shona Tangaere received Fairplay Awards.
