225th ANNIVERSARY
CAPTAIN JAMES COOK

It was a weekend packed with activities as the people of Gisborne and hundreds of others from the armed forces celebrated the 225th anniversary of the landing of Captain James Cook on the Kaiti foreshore. On the following pages are some of the highlights of a special moment in our history.
