Andrew Rickard with a string of archery achievements behind him has his sights set on the prestegeous 1000 Merit Star Badge. This will require Andrew to shoot 144 arrows (6 ends of six arrows over 90m & 70m to a 122cm target face, then 12 ends of three arrows over 50m & 30m to a 61cm target face.) He will need to make 1000 points from a possible 1440. The attempt will be made in Nov at a major tournament at Whakatane. Andrew attributes his past successes to the influence of the late Harry Gordon.
