PIG HUNTERS

The Poverty Bay / East Coast Pig Hunters Club, in association with Juken Nissho, held their annual pig hunt over Queen's Birthday weekend. It was obviously good hunting weather with one couple coming in with 8 pigs caught in the Ureweras and contest organiser Neal Goodson (Below Right) was pleased with the support. Prizes were awarded for the heaviest, best dressed and the best set of fighting tusks, with the average-weighted one winning $500 sponsored by Juken Nissho. There was also a childrens prize for the heaviest possum.
