MARCH FOR JESUS

June 25th 1994 was the worlds first ever Global March For Jesus, also being officially part of The International Year Of The Family. Eightyfive towns participated throughout N.Z. with an estimated eighty thousand people marching. There were approximately thirty million people marching from almost every nation around the world, beginning in Tonga and finishing in Western Samoa as the time lines were followed. The next march planned for N.Z. will be Christmas 1995, with the Global one for May 1996.

Here in Gisborne the people gathered at Wesley Methodist Church, proceeding up Gladstone Road and over the Peel Street bridge to the Army Hall, where the Ministers of Gisborne City, with two from Wairoa, participated in prayer.

The March For Jesus is all about mobile prayer and praise meetings, as Christians come together and proclaim their faith in God and His power to change lives, and through lives being changed, to see Cities effected with the power of God.
